In October 2024, Barton Arts Movement (BAM) proudly unveiled a vibrant mural dedicated to the healthcare heroes and wellness champions of our community.
Located on the Barton County Health Department building, this mural is a bold celebration of health, resilience, and community spirit. Designed by Carr, Kerr, & Co., a dynamic artist duo from Manhattan, KS, the color-block masterpiece brings their signature style to Barton County for the very first time.
A highlight of the process included a Community Paint Party, where residents joined the artists to bring the design to life, adding their own touch to this powerful tribute.
Thanks to a generous $9,250 matching grant from the State of Kansas through the Kansas Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, the investment of local donors was doubled. We would like to thank several community partners for their support.
